Senior Vice President
DAR AL SHARIA

Mian Muhammad Nazir is Senior Vice President with the Sharia Structuring and Coordination Department (Dar Al Sharia) of Dubai Islamic Bank. Before joining Dubai Islamic Bank in 2005, he worked as a Legal Advisor for Dallah Al Baraka Group, Saudi Arabia. He also worked with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority as Director, Law and Regulatory Affairs. Mian Nazir is an accomplished and renowned Sharia lawyer in the field of Islamic banking and finance. Apart from having degrees in Sharia and Law from International Islamic University, Pakistan, he also holds a master degree in commercial laws from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He has had the honour of working closely with Dr. Hussein Hamid Hassan for the last two years and is involved in the structuring and documentation of various Sharia compliant financial products and transactions.

Mohammed Saifullah Khan

DAR AL SHARIA

Mohammed Saifullah Khan was born in India in 1978. He received a five year integrated B.A.B.L (Bachelor of Laws) in 2000 and M.L (Master of Laws) in Constitutional and International law in 2002 from the University of Madras, India. Saifullah was admitted as an advocate of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu, India in 2000 and spent the initial part of his career in litigation specialising in commercial, corporate and constitutional writs before the High Court of Madras. He moved to Bahrain in 2005 to work as an associate at Hassan Radhi & Associates where he specialised in banking & finance, commercial and corporate law, real estate, and dispute resolution. Saifullah joined the Sharia Coordination Department of Dubai Islamic Bank in May 2007 and was part of the Sharia structuring and documentation team under the guidance of Dr. Hussain Hamid Hassan. Saifullah is currently Assistant Vice President of Dar Al Sharia Legal & Financial Consultancy LLC (a subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank).
